Don’t Forget the Chocolate Chips

by Ted Cockle

“The gospel without ‘justification through faith alone apart from works’ is…like chocolate chip cookies without the chips.” – Michael Horton (Author of Christless Christianity)

Horton made this statement in his recent review of the Manhattan Declaration.  The declaration is an ecumenical document attempting to unite Christians (Both Catholic and Protestant) in some of the common understandings of our faith.

This quote is part of what inspired me to write a book entitled “Separation Anxiety.”  The book will look at the common separation of things in the church that ought not be separated…more to come on this.
